Q. I was watching Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame (not the most faithful source, I know) in which Judge Frollo attempts a sort of dialed down "genocide" against the Roma/Gypsies. This made me curious to know if their treatment was at all similar in reality during the Middle Ages in Europe, which I have often found to be not as well-documented as it could be.
