What human rights are being violated when students are not allowed to use the restroom during class?
Q. I'm writing a paper on why rules against students using the restroom during class are unfair. My three reasons: rules against students doing so are unfair to those who would not cause trouble, could lead to health complications, and are violating human rights. However, I've done a lot of research and cannot find exactly what the human rights are. Thanks in advance for your help.

What are a tenants rights in regards to mold?
Q. My girlfriend and I suspect that our apartment has mold. We asked our landlord to please have it checked out. The next day she (the landlord) said somebody came by to check it out while we were at work and said there was no mold. We asked to see the inspector's documentation and the landlord said that she did not have to disclose that information to us. Is this true, or is the landlord lying to us about the inspection? If it is true that the landlord is lying about the results of the inspection or that an inspection ever took place, what our our legal rights as tenants? I have been trying to look up our legal rights all day. If you have any good references please list them.

A. Mold is tricky. Some molds are smelly and unsightly, but do not call for more than cleaning it, perhaps with Lysol or Clorox. Then there are shiny black molds that grow on cellulose. Plasterboard contains cellulose, in the paper wrapping. Likewise, wood is cellulose. This shiny black mold is Stachybotris, and it releases toxins into the atmosphere that can kill you. If it's Stachybotris, you have a constructive eviction. Move out immediately. See a doctor and hire an attorney, you could have a multi-million-dollar lawsuit. If it's not Stachybotris, then clean it up or move away when the lease expires. Identifying the mold as Stachybotris can be done by ordering a sample kit from any number of testing labs and sending them the test… [cont.]

A. Guarantees are in addition to your legal rights and under the sale of goods act a item must be fit for purpose and be free from defects. repeated failure of one item is legal proof that that item or part has a fault and is not fit for purpose. you can get items replace or refunded under the sale of goods acts withing a reasonable period but that may vary from 2 year to 20 depending on the item . for domestic items 5 years is often the guide. You need to threaten to take court action via small claims courts under Sales of goods acts for the TV having a faulty power supply with known and reproducible defect and you should get your money back. be prepared to take it all the way as trading standards do not offer support in these cases… [cont.]

  • People are usually surprised to discover that I hate the phrase "constitutional rights." I hate the phrase because it is terribly misleading. Most of the people who say it or hear it have the impression that the Constitution "grants" them their rights. Nothing could be further from the truth. Strictly speaking it is the Bill of Rights that enumerates our rights, but none of our founding documents bestow anything on you at all [...] The government can burn the Constitution and shred the Bill of Rights, but those actions wouldn't have the slightest effect on the rights you've always had.
